Arcane Festival 2010

"Didn't we have a loverly time, the day we went to Arcane?!"

In June 2010, we lost festival co-founder Dan Lewis (aka HalfCut Art, creator of our famous hands-on graffitti walls) in a tragic swimming accident. Determined that Dan would not have wanted us to cancel the festival, we decided to dedicate Arcane to him in perpetuity - and donate any festival profits this year to The Art Room, the charity chosen by Dan's family to receive donations in his name. Beset by problems and slowed down by grief, we rejigged our normal July date to September - and found a new home, moving from Tetsworth to the fabulous, friendly City Farm in Eynsham.

In 2010 we were able to donate £1,117.34 to The Art Room :) Read about this here

Thanks go to: Tim Hughes at the Oxford Mail for some truly fabulous press coverage, both before and after the event; to WeLoveFestivals.com, for our lovely feature and gorgeous photos - and to the ever-ready Facebook massive for sharing the love :) Thanks too to our tireless crew, bands, artists, stallholders and stewards for making it such a special event and a fitting tribute to Dan.
